Tasmania's Great Western Tiers resemble what is perhaps the greatest geodiversity that Tasmania has to offer - marked by the adjoining Mole Creek Karst National Park. The corresponding variance in vegetation makes it home to a diverse colletion of Tasmania's unique mammals with important refuges for fire intollerant species and with a number of significant aboriginal sites.
A number of wetlands are interspersed lakes and granite and sandstone cliffs to become an intermediate range before the central highlands which mostly composes the Tasmanian World Heritage Area. With a number of Cave systems, fertile farms, galleries & museums, this is a region that is perfect for the inquisitive mind!
