This is where we begin our adventure with a boat trip to Bruny Island. This is the Island that Tasmanians love for it’s rainforest, pristine beaches, walks and wildlife. Enjoy some short walks in the forest and soak up the sun, sea and sand as we have lunch on the Beautiful Adventure Bay Beach. After our voyage back we will take you on a walk among the treetops at the Tahune Forest Airwalk and see the forest from a different perspective. This evening we will drive to our base for the trip - our incredible waterfront accommodation at the Far South Wilderness Backpackers in Strathblane.Hastings Caves and Kayaks.Today you get to explore the 40 million year old Cave network at Hastings in whichever way you choose. Keep your feet dry and take a guided walking tour of Newdegate Cave to see incredible underground formations, or do some awesome adventure caving and you will be rewarded with a view of the best Glow worm displays in Australia. This comes highly recommended. We will meet at Hastings Thermal Pool for a warm (28 degrees) swim before a BBQ lunch in the rainforest surroundings. This afternoon you get to explore at Far South. Go swimming, harvest some Oysters for dinner, take a bushwalk on one of the many tracks or take a bike, a kayak or a boat for a spin. Alternatively you can grab your Guide and get them to take you to Duckhole Lake, a fascinating sinkhole in the middle of the forest.Optional Adventure Activities:

- Mountain Bike Riding - Have a chat with your Guide and choose a track, a great budget way to see the sights. Half day hire..........$15.00 (max. 4 hrs)

The Beautiful South.Journey to the bottom of Australia! The drive South will take us through the heart of the Southern forests and down to Australia's most Southerly town, Cockle Creek. The coastline here is pristine, with plenty of history, flora and fauna to look out for. We will take the easy four hour walk to South Cape Bay, accross buttongrass plains and through rainforests to arrive on the beach. We will have lunch looking over the formidable southern ocean. Next stop Antarctica! Once back at Cockle Creek you will have time to cool off in the water or relax on the beach before we head back, stopping at a local winery along the way, before arriving back in Hobart this evening.
